  • Cliff T. Roberts opens the meeting on Saturday morning. Cliff is President and Founder of the Fort Worth Haiku Society. He is also Southwest Region Coordinator for the Haiku Society of America.

Cliff organizes a lot of fun activities for FWHS members, some of whom are relatively new to haiku. I was impressed with the way the FWHS members support each other in haiku and in life.

  • FWHS members Christi Davenport and David Crow. Later in the meeting, David suggested that we give an haiku presentation at a Japanese animation conference -- as an outreach activity. Over 6000 people attended the last such conference he attended.

David brought samples of Pocky--a Japanese snack food that is like a chocolate-covered pretzel, only better.
